The work of Rudy Limeback has been known to the Paladins for some time, so when the time came for the release of the web site accompanying his new book "Simply SQL" we were happy to step up.
The design brief for the site was minimal in the extreme: Rudy had already written some straight semantic markup in HTML, and he wanted a simple design that did not require him to make changes to that markup. It needed to blend well with the publisher's website, requiring no additional markup beyond what was already created, and enhance the delivery of the supplementary material.
Seeing as how this was Rudy asking, and minimalism is rather our specialty, we couldn't resist. The result was a clean, lightweight design that not only gets out of the way of the new material, but makes it even clearer.
The best companies assume that each individual wants to make a difference in the world and be respected. Is that a surprise? Paul Ames
